Scooter 6.9 - Meet Me In the Pit

Hey clowns and clown-adjacents, welcome back to the Scooters! We're at the LAST chapter of this generation and I could not be more stoked. 1) to say goodbye to Eco Lifestyle; 2) to begin Laila's story! Enough dilly-dallying, let's get inTO ITTTT

Yasmin is taking after her poppy in the weirdest way she can.
Yasmin: Heyyyy, mister! Do you have a minute to talk about the environment?
Random stranger: Sorry, buddy, I have to get to the hospital. I gotta pick up my niece who broke her foot.
Yasmin: That's so sad! But I think, without a doubt, you're far too focused on her broken foot, when you should be more focused on her broken carbon footprint.
Random stranger: ...Kid, who the hell are you?
Yasmin: Merely a concerned citizen of our long-suffering earth.

Damián, dude, what are you doing?
Dami: I know it's wrong, I know I should be doing it, but I've never felt more free in my LIFE, babeeeeyyyyy!
Random townsperson: Put that away, man!

Now that Laila is a teen (and because the next generation is the ever-accursed Discover University...) she's looking at her options for post-secondary education.
Laila: Maybe it'd be cool to live in a dorm. Hmm. I bet I can make a lot of friends like that. (gasp) I bet I can even find a D&D group to DM for. Oh baby. Oh sweet Mary, I gotta relax.

Yasmin got upgraded to the second floor bedroom, much to older sister Laila's displeasure. She had been planning to turn that into an incubation room for carnivorous plants.
Yasmin: (snoozing away knowing she's ruined someone's day)

If there's anyone that gets under Laila's skin, it's Yasmin. These two would be mortal enemies if Laila would ever admit that her little sister sometimes gets the upper hand on her.
Laila: ...don't you have some lame little kid group activity to do?
Yasmin: Laila, you're supposed to be my big sister who protects and guides me! (short gasp) I can't believe you'd be so cruel.

Another thing she would never admit is that her abrasiveness is a coverup for a sensitive soul. But you know. Them's the shits.
Laila: Yeah, fuck you. I don't need you. You suck. What are you gonna do, make me sad? Oh boo hoo. I was born sad, baby.

Y'all? You guys have a bed right there. I don't know why y'all decided to smash in the closet.
Dami: I'M BORN RECKLESS BABY!
Hari: Aw, shit, my--not my new jacket!

At least they cleaned themselves up properly afterwards.
Hari: So I don't think I'm gonna get that stain out of that suit. Y'know, that suit that I had to get handmade for me that I had to get shipped from Malaysia? Maybe let's not do that next time?
Dami: Oh, boo, you're no fun at all.

Seriously, Yasmin just goes at Laila for fun sometimes.
Laila: YASMIN! Why are you SO fucking annoying?!
Yasmin: Hey, you left your Twitter signed in on the family computer. I think you should look for blame in your own actions first, sister.
Laila: agkfjgrfkdf I'm gonna end you, you little shithead.

What a lovely sunshower! Did you know, in Philippine legends, if a sunshower happens, then two demons are getting married? It's true, I saw it myself.
Laila: Are they gonna come help me clean this crap? No? Didn't think so.

It's a lovely morning in Evergreen Harbour, and you are a horrible child.
Yasmin: That's me, babes! @ me next time ❤️

Why so grumpy, Matahari?
Hari: (sigh) Laila's first batch of applications got turned down. I don't wanna be the one to break it to her that she wasn't qualified for the University of Toronto's aerodynamics program.
...But I'm also glad my daughter's not moving to Toronto. :)

The duality of Scooter sister. One is working her ass off to secure those university scholarships, and one is... Well, one is like, 9. She doesn't care.
Laila: Never grow up, Yaz. This shit seriously sucks.
Yasmin: I don't envy you, girlboss. I also don't care, buuuut.

Glad to see Laila is still...ugh...caring for her bugs.
Laila: I bet it'd be really funny if I started a bakery and put bugs in the food and didn't tell anyone. God. Fuck this university crap, I'll be a businesswoman instead.

It's a movie night at the Scooter house!
Laila: A dog movie? Really, guys?
Dami: Marley & Me is a classic, Laila. You'll love it, seriously.
Yasmin: Come on, even you can admit he's a cute doggy!
Laila: Ugggghhhhhh. You guys are so dumb. (typing on phone) "does...the dog...die...in Marley & Me..."

Dami: ...Can't believe we're really getting married tomorrow. Are you nervous?
Hari: I am...but I'm not. (smilingly) I feel like I've been married to you this whole time, Dami. I can't picture myself with anyone else.
Dami: God...me either, Hari. I think I love you.
Hari: I think I love you too. Now, come here.

And so it came to be that Damián Scooter and Matahari Rotan, under watchful eye of the sun and nothing else, finalised their union to each other, one day before the big fanfare. No officiator, no celebrant, and no state. And I think that's what they would've wanted the whole time.

Now, Miss Yasmin. You'd better be doing your homework and not bingeing BTS music videos, A-GAIN.
Yasmin, singing obnoxiously: I'm so SICK OF THIS, FAKE-UH LOVE, FAKE-UH LOVE, FAKE-UH LOOOOOVE

Aaaaaanhd now, we round out this embarrassingly short update with yet another Scooter sister birthday!
Dami: Oh, don't do this to me. My girls are all grown up.
Sorry, Dami, but that's the way life goes. Happy birthday, Laila and Yasmin!

Teenage Yasmin! I don't think the world is ready yet for the little demon.
Yasmin: Oh, they'd better be. Because I'm about to fuck everything up, babes.

And last but certainly not least, our heiress, Laila. Who looks a startling amount like Hari LOL.
Laila: Damn I kinda don't like this outfit :( I should change it next time my ass shows up on moveobjectsron dot Dreamwidth dot org.
Will do, girlboss.
Generation 6: Complete!
**✿❀ ❀✿**
Well! We did it! Another Scooter generation squared away, for the books! Aaaaaaaahhhhhh. I must say, definitively, this was not my favourite generation. Maybe it's because I didn't set strenuous or exciting enough goals. I feel like I made a mistake learning about this EP through the legacy save and not pre-playing it beforehand. Maybe I would've liked it more if I had actual expectations. But whatever--it's all in the past now, and we can close the book on Damián and Hari and let them do their thing. Watch world--Laila Scooter is on her way. See you guys next time. Bye! Love y'all!
