Scooter 5.9 - Say Your Goodbyes

Welcome back to the Scooters, everybirdy. Let's round out this year!
This update involves a death, so, warning for that.
 

 

Look who's gone back to normal (even though he's never been un-cursed before). It's Luca!

Dami: (mad that he is still cursed)

Bree: (mad because Dami is mad and radiates negativity from every pore)

Luca: I sure do love my family :|

We've come to the end of the road for Rainbow. His life bar is a-bubblin' :(. At least Sully was home to say goodbye to him.

Sully: (sniff) Be a good boy for me, buddy. I love you lots.

Rainbow: (low groan)

It's this good, good boy's time. Goodbye, and rest in peace, Rainbow. You were a sweet little man.

I remember now why I rarely adopt pets into the family unless I need to. It's just a little too sad.

Ori only got the news when they got home.

Ori, sobbing: Oh, my little baby. Mi pobrecito amor...

Bree: Papa, are you sure you should be going on an adventure now? Meemee's really sad...and Dami, and Luca.

Sully: And you?

Bree: Well...I'm sad everyone else is sad. (mutters) Maybe I'm a little sad on my own.

Sully: I know, baby. But I gotta do one thing before I retire.

Bree: What's that?

Sully: I am officially getting too old for this crap. But LET'S GO

I mean Sully might be tired of the Belomisian jungle but I sure am not.

Sully: Sure, you're not the one that has to hack and slash a gate open every time!!!

Sully: AAAAAAAAGHHH firebenders?! In Guatemala?!

Sully: Y'know, I've been researching Omiscan glyphs for so long, I am pretty sure I can read what these say now. For example, this pillar is inscribed with the lyrics to All I Want For Christmas Is You.

I don't even question what goes on in this temple anymore.

Sully: ...and they were roommates!

Skeleton: Oh my god, they were roommates.

And would you believe it, Sully ended up finding a golden frog in the last room of the Temple of the Full Moon.

Sully: GOD, FINALLY. No offense but the Lara Crofting is getting so OLD.

He actually found 2 frogs during this trip lol, one was just in the jungle. Gr8!

And of course he had to round out his vacation with a little embarrassment.

Vendor: (chuckling) Poisoned again, Sr. Scooter?

Sully: Yeah, yeah, I know...it's the third time.

Vendor: Oh man, you really are my favourite customer.

One last shot of this beautiful, blazing jungle before we go.

Sully: Wow.... Selvadorada, I'll miss you. It's been good.

Sully's collection of treasure has finally surpassed §65k! He has 4 golden frogs (one of them is Ori's, which didn't count), thus rounding out his goal of 3. Which means he's achieved his generational goal!

Sully was able to conveniently square away that goal in time for the twins' birthday!

Dami: (grumbling) Where's my cake?

Sully: Damián, you share a birthday. So, you share a cake too.

Bree: Everyone shush!!

Briana is such an interesting mix of Ori and Sully's genes. She's in the running for heir still!

Damián takes more after Ori, but I think he's got Sully's nose...? Either way, he is also in the running.

Luca is sad because of 1) the memory of Rainbow; 2) he is no longer in the running for heir.

idk, I think I stopped considering him because he looks too close to Sully lol. I know I am incredibly inconsistent with choosing an heir. I know it's a failing.

Don't know what Sully's mad about but Dami probably deserved it.

Sully: ...when are you gonna grow up, Damián? I'm tired of getting calls from your teachers!

Dami: (groan) Pa, this is who I AM! I'm a little naughty shit boy! A disgusting little weasel!!!

On the opposite end of the spectrum is Briana, who is a Huge Nerd that gets her homework done on time, THEN does extra credit work for funsies on top of it.

Bree: I just (squeal) LOVE calc.

Oh hey, randomly in Strangerville is Anna, Kai's kid. Luca, Dami, and Bree's cousin.

Anna: I came here all the way to eat chilli. Did not disappoint.

Why've we come back to the junkyard? Sully's favourite place in town? Well, I shall tell you, dear reader....

These two have finally remembered to the knot! They got engaged when Luca was a toddler almost 20 years ago lmao. Congrats, Mr. and Mx. Delgado-Scooter!

Speaking of Luca, since he's out of the heir running, I figure I should find him someone too. Enter Miss Jamie Benali, one of his classmates. Of course, one of Salim`s descendants.

Luca: ...and they're playing zombie movies at the drive-in all Saturday.

Jamie Benali: That sounds pretty cool. Let's make a day of it!

Their date, however, was interrupted by one of the waiters straight up dying during their shift. Which, relatable, but holy shit dude.

Luca: So...uh...

Jamie: ...

Luca: I'll just take you home now.

Jamie: That'd be good.

Just like her father before her, Briana is mastering the art of the 1 AM barbecue.

Bree: I just really crave that Oscar Meyer wiener flavour before bed, know what I mean?

Ever since Ori's had kids, I've extended their goal to cure their kids of the curse, in case they had it. Last one to go is Dami.

Dami: (yawning) Huh? Meemee?

Ori: It's for your own good, Damián. Experience undeath!

Ori: AAAAAAH a skeleton!

Dami: Hey I look pretty fuckin sweet imo.

✔ Assemble a Balampalsoh death relic and experience Undeath / Remove curse from any affected offspring

Sully: Whoa! Dami...?

Dami: No it is not me. It is Sr. Turquesa, here to steal your alcohol.

Sully: Okay kid, nice try.

This looks like a renaissance painting lmfao.

Luca: Who the hell let a skeleton in here?!
