Why, hello and welcome, friends! To the last update of generation 5! If you asked me, I think this generation has been pretty well-rounded in terms of its focus. Maybe. Well, it's certainly balanced better than past ones like 2 and 3 (yes, I have been back-reading, don't mind me). Let's give Sully et al. a lovely send-off, shall we?

Luca really tried it with Miss Jamie, god bless him.
Luca: So, Jamie...if you're not seeing anyone else...
Jamie: Oh, Luca, I'm sorry, I have to stop you there. I'm seeing Duncan from math.
Luca: Oh. That's...I didn't know that.
Jamie: Yeah...neither did Ron. Sorry....

Luca: Haha...I understand. I will eat a handful of rocks now.

What do you get when you put a ghost and a skeleton together? A family reunion.
Dami: Awwww, Rainbow! Hi, buddy!
Rainbow: (ghostly bark!)

Bree sure is into long, scalding baths.
Bree: It's to wash off the stain of being related to these gremlins that I must call my brothers.

Look whose big-boy birthday it is! Luca's, of course. Happy birthday Luca!

Looking good, Sully Jr.
Luca: Thanks. Am I going to fade into obscurity now?
Yes.

But not to be outdone by Duncan from math class, a grown-up Jamie also joins the family.
Jamie: Hey, Scooter! I guess the powers that be decided to just say fuck it and shlap us together!
Luca: Guess so...
Jamie: What's wrong? I thought you totally wanted to date?
Luca: I do! It just feels so...unearned.
Jamie: That's spare living for you, babes.

And here's a young adult Jamie for the road. She's got interesting features. I think she's pretty.

Hey, look at Ori reading in the vestibule I gave to them and Sully when I built this house. I was so excited for it. I thought it looked so cool.
This is the only picture I took of it. Because I am bad and the worst.

The twins are discussing their post-secondary plans. Also, Dami is a person again.
Bree: ...I think I'm gonna get into politics. Or computer science. How about you, Dami?
Dami: Oh, I don't know. Think I'll move to a remote city in Canada and completely upend the whole thing and redesign in my vision.
Bree: ...that's...so specific.
Dami: But also quirky and fun.

To get into politics or compsci, Bree needs to first hammer away at her comprehension skills.
Bree: It's 3 am. I've been reading disserations for the past 4 hours. I haven't moved in just as many. The walls threaten to devour me. I scream, but I am unheard.

Jamie's kinda #sus for standing at the garbage can for...literal hours...unmoving.
Jamie: It's in my nature as a The SimsTM 4 sim. Don't know why you're so mad.

I decided Luca's going to get into politics.
Luca: Hello, Political Party Office? Yes, I would like to join. No I have no relevant experience. No I do not have an opinion on our town's political climate. Yes I will start tomorrow.

With Bree staying up so late all the time, she's the only one up to greet her papa when he comes back home.
Bree: Thanks for providing for us, papa.
Sully: Aww, Briana. It's no problem, my dear.

I know his genes aren't in the running anymore but I still think it'd be nice if there was another kid running around here for whenever the eventual heir takes off. Whoever it may be.
Godspeed, young Scooter.

I just thought this shot of the 3 of the kids was cute. Side-by-side, they look all so different, and hardly related. Weird how genetics in this game can be.

Isn't it a little late to be vetting your son's romantic interests, Sully?
Sully: Not as long as I'm young. Look alive, Benali.
Jamie: (groan) Mr. Scooter, it's like 7 am. I wanted to sleep.

What's wrong, Damián?
Dami: I dislike the uncertainty of life. I don't know who's gonna be heir. I don't know what I want to eat today. I don't know WHO I AM. AM I REAL???
No. Next!

Don't really know if Ori likes Jamie that much.
Jamie: ...and get this--he was the doctor the whooole time! Isn't that nuts?!
Ori, gritting their teeth: Uh-huh. So cool, Jamie! Very awesome.

Sully: (shivers and gasps)
Luca: What's wrong, pa?
Sully: I...I can feel it. I can FEEL IT.
Luca: What? What can you feel?
Sully: THE END...

...of his YA life stage. Happy birthday, Sully!
Sully: Ah fuck it, at least I get cake.
Jamie: Am I pregnant?
Sully: Jamie, read the room. It's MY day.

He's all old now! Time to hang up the safari hat for good.
Sully: Aaahh, this is the life. Reaping the rewards of a life of plundering and NOT THINKING ABOUT THE CONSEQUENCES.

Bree's having one of them Teenage Mood SwingsTM.
Bree: Ugh. Stop minimising my problems as if they're not real! They are! I'm valid! I tripped on the steps coming off the bus and it was EMBARRASSING.

...Bree, really, it'll be okay.
Bree: NOTHING WILL EVER BE OKAY AGAIN. THIS IS A FACT.

Maybe it'll all be okay when you blow out your birthday cake today. Happy birthday, Briana! And Damián, who is offscreen.
Dami, aside: (sigh) You don't even care about me on my own birthday.
Bree: First and foremost, it's my birthday. Anyway...!

There she is!
Bree: Yay, a shot to myself! Does that make me the heir!
Why, yes...! At least I thought it did, for a little bit...
Bree: What do you mean.

Dami: Wait, does that mean...?
Yes. Yes, it does. I initially picked Bree for heir, but then I had A Single Doubt. And then naturally, I spiralled. After a whole MONTH of being unable to make up my mind, ping-ponging between Dami and Bree, and even WHICH EP I was gonna play next gen (University or Eco), I decided at the very last minute that Damián will by the heir, taking on Eco Lifestyle in Evergreen Harbour when the time comes. Ta-da!
Bree, aside: UGH.
Ori: Hey I aged up too.
Generation 5: Complete!
**✿❀ ❀✿**
And so comes the haphazard end to generation 5. Happy holidays everyone. I hope your days are swell! And if they're not or won't be, then I wish you at least peace of mind. Say goodbye, y'all!
