Hi hello and welcome to a different kind of update for the Scooters.
Sometime in the early chapters of this generation I mentioned Sebastian came from the end of a different legacy. Now I already posted this on my Tumblr but since this is where all my other content lives, I figure I should have it here too.
So, here's how we got to Sebastian Park. By of course, the Park Legacy.
This is a save I started last September as a last-ditch effort to get into TS4. I am pleased to report that it did work. I played this save literally just for funsies, so there are barely any screenshots and they're of, by my standards, not exactly the best quality. But I was having a lot of fun, so it's okay.
Now, I mentioned I posted this on my Tumblr but I realised I don't want to continue posting gameplay on there because quite frankly, I fucking hate that place. It's a goddamn bleeding tire fire. So I'm just here. ALRIGHT enough rambling. Let's get on with this summary!

Generation 1: Lights, camera, action!
Sebastian's line begins ten generations ago with his great-great etc.... grandmothers, Cameron Park and Holly-Bird Koppel. They are recreations of characters I had from my Sims 3 days; Holly was given to me by my good friend Rosie, and was the winner of a bachelorette starring Cameron. They actually had their own legacy that I got about 5 generations into before I lost interest in posting Sims anywhere. I figure the best way to get into this game was to start with the familiar. Whew, anyway--back to the present.
The Parks were a LEPacy and a rainbowcy-lite. I started with Get Famous, which is where I picked up my BURNING UNDYING HATRED for celebrities. Which is where because I generally really like fame in the Sims games. But whatever--Cam and Holly made enough to live in the nicest house in Del Sol Valley, outclassing that raging verruca known as Judith Ward. I hate her. Bye.
Cam and Holly had 3 kids: Titus, Valeria, and Felix.

Generation 2: Bears vs. brawn
So Felix Park became my G2 heir. He moved to Windenburg With a Sim created by my boyfriend, Haruto Fujiwara. I really liked this generation because the Clubs function was actually super fun. Through this, I more or less learned that Get Together is my favourite TS4 expansion as of right now.
Felix was in professional sports. Since they lived in Windenburg aka Fake Germany, I played it like he was on a soccer team. Sorry--football. Sorry--fußball. And Haruto, as clubmaster, was the leader of Bear Gang--aka #BEARGANG--a group of men who got together, got in bear suits, growled at people in public, and worked out. Nothing sexual there. Not at all. By the end of this gen's run, I had more or less every married and single man in Bear Gang; no one in Windenburg was safe.
Felix and Haruto had 2 kids: Adelaide and Orlando.

Generation 3: Music and lyrics
Adelaide aka Addie Park moved to San Myshuno, with Desiree aka Dezi St. Feu. This is where a couple of trends began: the first, I would download spouses off of Maxis' gallery page. And then I'd just edit them because generally, they were a little too janky. The second, my Sims all had BIG HONKING BEHINDS and it's all thanks to Dezi's genes staying in all her descendants. Like, it got to the point where my boyfriend would see big-booty Sims in his own game and say "hey I found a Sim you made".
>:(
Anyway, this generation was full of art and aesthetics, as Addie was a musician and Dezi was a chef and blogger, and they both liked painting. It was a very colourful generation. And I really enjoyed San Myshuno, and learned that the Spice District is the best one.
Addie and Dezi only had 1 kid: Jericho.
ugh.

Generation 4: Left brain, right brain
Wow. Where do I begin with Jericho Park. He was so boring it was insane. Absolutely no personality. And I know TS4 Sims barely have any personality to start with but man. He moved to Willow Creek with Maxis' Marquise Palumbo who I don't dislike. Actually they were alright as a couple, but I fucked up cause I realised they have almost the same genes. Same skin colour, hair colour, and features that weren't too crazy-different. The only thing different about them was their eye colour.
Now, Marquise went on to be a doctor, which I actually really liked--and honestly, it was the only reason I enjoyed this generation. It was honestly a bit of a write-off.
Jericho and Marquise had 5 kids: Archer, Selene, Aurora, Castor, and Electra. Five kids. Five terrible, horrible, shitty kids. The only good one was Archer, and he should've been the heir but NOOOO I had to be annoying about it. Actually, I gave Archer a life of his own outside of the legacy, which was a good call--he deserved it. I still saw his descendants in the last couple of generations lol, it was like the game was playing another legacy for me.

Generation 5: Salt of the earth
I feel bad for this generation because while it wasn't bad and I didn't hate this iteration of the family, it was for a very boring expansion and I had just come off of my least favourite heir's ride. So the oldest girl Selene Park moved to Oasis Springs with Charley Sheridan (I made her; she wasn't a Maxis Sim) to live through...a Seasons generation. There's really only so much that Seasons adds to this game, I kinda had to scrounge for other ideas. I didn't quite yet have the realisation that I should pair it with a GP to pad it out some yet.
I got through this generation...haltingly. If Jericho's gen made me wanna tear my hair out from chaotic frustration, this one made me wanna do it out of boredom. But I didn't want to do that--I had so many other packs to try--so I kept at it. I actually rather liked Selene and Charley as a couple, but they had to contend with my growing dissatisfaction. Yikes.
Selene and Charley had two kids: Falcon and Raven.

Generation 6: Sim's best friend
I had to power through the doldrums that was Gen. 5 to get to Gen. 6: Cats and Dogs! Because of course. Heir Falcon Park moved to my 2nd-favourite world of Brindleton Bay with Maxis' Mateo Creek. I actually had a little minor subplot--just for myself of course--where Falcon and Mateo were best friends as teenagers. Then they moved in together, got a dog, and fell in love. Or something else gay and obvious like that lol.
I wasted no time in adopting pets for them: they had, in order, a Doberman pinscher named Rocket, an Abyssinian named Comet, and an English spaniel named Astro. Later on in life as their first three pets got old and passed away--which was very sad of course--I had them adopt some other kind of dog I forgot and named her Pluto. This generation was a lot of fun and I thoroughly fell in love with Brindleton Bay, although I couldn't knock the feeling that I was going to get bored of it again. I don't know what it was, but I worried that I'd lose my enjoyment and stop playing. And I did for a bit, but for reasons unrelated to me enjoying the game. I was moving at the time, and for the first 2 weeks of us moving into our apartment, we didn't have internet, and thus, no Sims.
Falcon and Mateo had 1 kid: Savannah.

Generation 7: He mele no Lilo
So only daughter Savannah moved to Sulani and thus reignited my interest in this game. Because oh. My. God. I love Sulani. It is HANDS down the most beautiful world in the Sims 4 so far. The bright blue (swimmable!) ocean, the lush, dense jungles, the bright colours, and the constant sunshine, all of it made Sulani a cheerful place to live. Minus the constant monsoons and volcanic explosions. Savannah got with Maxis' Penina Vasa who was mega janky and I really had to fix her face.
As I played, I realised I really didn't want to leave Sulani, like, ever. This pack would be my favourite TS4 expansion, if not only for the fact that you can't...really use its features outside of Sulani too much. Good luck having a mermaid in San Myshuno, right? But that aside, this generation was a lot of fun. I always look back on it as my favourite.
Savannah and Penina had 2 kids: Mace and Sage.

Generation 8: Raiders of the lost temple of doom
I didn't want to leave Sulani, so I didn't. Mace Park became the heir, and he found a place in Sulani with Shaan Fonseca, who is from the Jungle Adventure trailers. At the time, I didn't own Discover University. So what was my LEPacy to do? Move onto the Game Packs, of course. Jungle Adventure stands as my favourite GP, primarily because of its setting. Selvadorada is a beautiful, lush jungle world that I always wanted to keep going to. In fact I downloaded a mod so I could live in it. While it can't do what World Adventures could--not even close--it did an alright job keeping my interest.
This generation was beset by a lot of tragedy, as Mace and Shaan both died of unnatural causes (hysteria and poisoning) before their kids were grown up. I enlisted the help of Mace's twin, Sage to step in and be a surrogate caregiver for them.
Mace and Shaan had 3 kids: Ember, Cole, and Bonnie.

Generation 9: All the pasta-bilities
Begrudgingly, I left Sulani to start anew in Newcrest, with my heiress Bonnie Park and Maxis' Yolisa Wray from the Dine Out trailers. I figured it was time to own a restaurant! It helps that Bonnie and Yolisa were the cutest couple in my game (looks wise and relationship wise) since Gen. 3. Bonnie had this retro look going on and Yolisa kinda had this bad girl look to her which I honestly super loved.
I wanted to like playing Dine Out but it was hard. Yes, the restaurant mechanic is super fun, and setting up and building a restaurant is awesome. i loved that part, no complaints. What I didn't love was how hard it was to make a profit. I was still playing an unmodded game at the time and the vanilla experience is so painful. My staff were terrible, but for them to get better, I needed to train them and pay them and for people to like my food I needed good quality ingredients and for customers to even come in, I needed to pay for advertising. You see where I'm going with this. I was haemorrhaging money. I couldn't keep it up.
Bonnie and Yolisa had 2 kids: Noël and Bianca.

Generation 10: Literally just vibing
Last generation was chaotic fun and a big disaster. The next and final generation was neither. In fact it was so boring I played all of it on 3 Speed waiting to get through it all. So, heir Noël Park stayed in Newcrest where he met Maxis' Mina Jeung from the Movie Hangout trailer. I picked a piss-poor focus for this generation: Outdoor Retreat and Spa Day. aka the two most boring fucking GPs Maxis have ever vomited out and made people pay for. They went to Granite Falls a maximum of twice before I said, fuck it, baby time.
And so they had one baby, who we all know is Sebastian Park. And that's the story of the Park Legacy: we started off pretty strong, faltered in the middle, then picked it back up again to its greatest heights, only to come and splatter to earth with this crap. Honestly, this is the reason Sebastian, as a character, spoke so badly of his parents: I hated their generation. But that's the way the cookie crumbles.
So that's it, that's all I wanted to talk about today, and hopefully offer a little bit of insight for people who are new (i.e. coming from Boolprop) into what went into the Scooters. It's kind of a lot, I know. For even more details, I've linked the Park Legacy family tree. I'm currently working on one for the Scooters as well. See you next time for second gen of my favourite Scooty Sims! byeeeeeee
